|Laveen Fire District||Laveen, Arizona|
Fire Districts operate on a fiscal year that runs from July 1 through June 30 and are required to adopt a budget prior to the start of each fiscal year. Final adopted budgets from FY2013-2014 forward must be posted on the District's official website and remain there for a period of at least 5 years.
Prior to adopting a final budget, a Fire District must adopt a proposed budget and hold a public hearing on the proposed budget. The proposed budget is generally adopted for posting in April or May. The proposed budget must be publicly posted for a minimum of 20 days prior to a public hearing called for the purpose of receiving public input on the proposed budget and advertised in a newspaper of general circulation within the District. After public posting, public hearing and advertising, the final budget is then adopted.
Proposed budgets adopted for posting will be placed here and remain until final budget is adopted.
